The Jerry Larson Food Basket – Nutritious food for those in need. When the FOODBasket food-sorting project needed help, a few of our staff stepped up to the challenge. They joined forces with other volunteers sorting donated fresh fruits and vegetables which are delivered to homebound seniors, people with disabilities, people living with HIV/AIDS, and families with children under the age of 5 in the Silicon Valley.
Meals on Wheels Pack-out – A moveable feast prepared for delivery. Members of our team helped pack hot nutritious meals for the “Meals on Wheels” delivery drivers. Each driver is given hot food, cold sandwiches, salads, fruit, and beverages to deliver to homebound seniors daily.
Grassroots Ecology – A day spent outdoors, restoring nature. A member of our executive team had a great day helping rehabilitate trails and restoring native plants to open spaces, parks, creeks and watersheds. As part of a team of volunteers, they spent the day weeding, planting, and cleaning up natural habitats that enrich our wonderful Bay Area.
Peninsula Symphony – Promoting music arts in the Bay Area. A lover of music, our staff member enjoyed spending the day helping the Peninsula Symphony’s development team on projects for their upcoming annual spring gala. The event raised funds that bring people in our community inspiring, innovative, high-quality musical presentations at affordable prices and promotes music education through engaging programs for adults and children.
Second Harvest Food Bank – Fighting local hunger. A wonderful and dedicated organization needed assistance and our team member quickly stepped up and helped sort nutritious foods that were distributed to low-income people in need throughout the Bay Area.
